I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a camera in my hands. As a child I treasured my 110 and used it often. Just ask my mom about the cost of my film processing!

When I was 13 my brother gifted me with a 35 mm camera and all of the equipment and chemicals necessary to develop my own slides. My intellect was challenged, my soul was stirred, and an adventure began that continues to this day.

People’s reactions to my work, and several blue ribbons by the time I was 14, encouraged me to spend lots of time seeking new subject matter throughout the countryside of Vermont and New Hampshire.

After many years of photographing still life, people, and events, I photographed my first wedding in 1987. The joy and satisfaction I experienced from my hobby then is still the same joy and satisfaction I now feel in my work.

Now in my tenth year as a professional photographer, my style can be best described as photojournalistic. My desire is to record on film what is taking place without intruding or controlling natural interactions and reactions. Almost always there is a request for formal shots, and I am happy to do them. I usually work with an assistant and I shoot in color, black and white, or in a combination that pleases you.

Your wedding is a significant milestone in your life. I am thrilled and privileged when I am invited to share your day with you. My goal is to uniquely create personal and natural photographs that will bring all of the emotions and memories flooding back as you recount that precious day of uniting in marriage.

I am available for Vermont weddings in July, and North Carolina weddings the rest of the year.
